Overview
The Audi fan community is huge. The excellent driving comfort, with a dose of sportiness and the special Audi flair, has always been attractive. The vehicle manufacturer has provided the luxury class car with air suspension, which customers could optionally purchase. The components of the air suspension system are heavily strained and wear out over time. That reason was enough for us to develop the brand new Aerosus compressor for the AUDI A6 C6 4F models built from 2004 till 2011. Our modular compressor is delivered ready to install. It comes with a relay and the G290 temperature sensor. The spare part is also suitable for the estate version of the Avant, the sports version S6, and the all-terrain Allroad Quattro. The compressor is located in the engine compartment, in the lower right-hand corner. Safety, Even with Manual Suspension Adjustment Air suspension systems are comfortable and allow a pleasant, safe ride. The air suspension system regulates and controls the level of the Audi A6 C6 fully automatically. In addition, the five manual settings of the air suspension -- Lift, Comfort, Automatic, Dynamic and Allroad -- are available (Allroad mode only for the off-road version Allroad Quattro). Our air compressor plays a special role in the air suspension system because it is responsible for the system's air supply. The compressor for the air suspension pumps more or less air into the air circuit. If the driver increases the speed, the system lowers the level; on the other hand, if you drive slowly, more air is needed to raise the vehicle level. Construction and Parts of the Aerosus Made of OEM-specified materials, our brand new compressor consists of a pressure housing, an electric motor and an integrated air dryer. Air is compressed in the housing, dehumidified by the dryer unit and then supplied to the air suspension system. The provided relay must be exchanged for warranty reasons. If this condition isn't fulfilled, the two-year warranty is void. The reason is that the damage to the compressor is usually due to a defective relay or leakage in the air suspension. Reasons for a Defective Compressor Compressors are usually not prone to failure; however, leaking air springs often cause compressor defects. If the compressed air in the system can't be kept stable, the level control is defective. If the air leak isn't quickly detected and repaired, consequential damage to the compressor will occur, as the compressor overheats or lets dry air pass into the system. The compressor gets loud and it starts making sudden thumping noises. When the compressor malfunctions, it must be replaced. This has a negative impact on the stability and handling of your Audi. Purchase and Installation If you have bought the spare part from us online at an affordable price, the next step is to change the old compressor. It is to be found in the lower right-hand corner of the engine compartment of the vehicle. To access the compressor, you must remove the wheel arch liner and engine cover. The relay to be changed can be found in the E-Box. This is located near the water box. In position 2, look for a relay named J403. If you are not satisfied with the performance of our compressor, you have a 30-day money-back guarantee. Maintenance-free, low-vibration, easy to install and constantly checked for quality by expert controls in Germany. With the Aerosus compressor, you acquire the heart of your comfortable air suspension, which is as good as the original part.
