Juniperus communis 'Compressa', known as Common Juniper, is a dwarf conifer, with a narrow, upright-growing habit. This shrub produces dense, pine scented, evergreen foliage with tightly-packed, blue-green needles, that turn shades of copper over the winter months. A slow-growing and low maintenance plant that requires little or no pruning. Grow this shrub in well drained soil, preferably a dry, sandy or chalky soil type. Plant in a position with full sun or light shade. Well suited to a mixed border or a rock garden.
