The Picea Nidiformis is a slow growing, dwarf variety of Norway Spruce with a flat-topped, spreading habit. The bushy, needle-like dark green foliage grows in overlapping layers which create a dense, rounded mound that can be pruned for a more upright look or left to grow and spread lower to the ground, making it a great choice for groundcover or as part of a hanging or cascading display. Plant in moist, well-drained soil and keep in full sun in a sheltered to semi-sheltered position to protect from cold, dry winds. Prefers acidic soils. Avoid wet and waterlogged sites.
