A well known and distinctive variety, the Thuja ‘Yellow Ribbon’ or White Cedar is an upright evergreen conifer with narrow, slender branches bearing bright golden-green foliage throughout the year which, when crushed releases an aromatic apple-like scent. A great choice for use as hedging or as a specimen plant standing alone. Colder climates can cause a tinge of bronze to appear on the upper parts of the foliage. Plant in moist, well-drained soil. Keep in full or partial sun. Does not tolerate drought or exposed dry wind. Care must be taken to avoid overwatering which can cause root rot.
