A highly accurate, safe and quick way to make perfectly square cross cuts using a hand held circular saw. The Japanese manufacturer Shinwa guarantees an accuracy of 0.1 mm along the entire length of the guide. The lower portion overhangs by 100mm making it much easier to align and set-up with a circular saw or jigsaw. The Saw Guide slides smoothly as you move it into position. It is only when you press on the handle that a neoprene rubber pad beneath makes contact with the workpiece ensuring a firm non-slip grip. The "wide hexagrip" handle is made from ABS and covered with elastomer. This prevents the handle from becoming uncomfortably cold in winter or unheated workshops. The guide has metric and Japanese “Shaku” graduations. Metric is the main scale on the edge and “Shaku” is displayed behind it. Practically any hand held circular saw or jigsaw can be used with the Shinwa guide. It makes cutting wood easy and precise. The guide has a groove along its edge for the optional Slider which helps keep your saw securely on track.
